How do we deal with sin?

Early this morning at a local Greek family restaurant after having a meal with my sister, I decided to snap a picture of myself. The background was nice! I loved the flow of water and artificial tree that was illuminated with lights. It reminded me of how beautiful simple arrangements can make all the difference.

Once I got home I read a daily bible devotion that is emailed to me. It was about sin and considering the selfie moment I had I decided to place my own short spin and add to what I read.

On a deeper level, simple arrangements of the mind can help you defeat your worry about faults, mistakes, and terrible temptations we fall victim too. In my own life, I have succumb to urges to react aggressively against myself and others. I used and abused the devices of using swear words to hurt people who hurt me, money, sex, and violence. When my deeply rooted faith returned to me while serving a 6 month jail sentence after violating probation, I became illuminated as the tree in the background of the picture I snapped this morning. I allowed the flow of the living water from the wisdom and teachings of Jesus Christ to quench the thirst of my natural and spiritual body. I no longer wanted to surrender my dignity, reputation, and spiritual growth. I do not write in a religious way, but in the way as a theologian, spiritual being, and adviser. Use your best imagination in the passages that follow.

I transformed and learned how to deal with sin. So how do we deal with sin? Jesus teaches that love and forgiveness is the therapy of realizing and accepting your mistakes. However, constant death and transformation of the body, mind, and heart must occur. We must rid ourselves of the attraction to temptations that lead to sin (which is ultimately a fall off your spiritual path). Our deep and private desires can often be representatives of our intentions. If our intentions are dark; our motivates are harmful and our actions are deadly. Love and forgiveness can't co-exist inside such a tainted heart. But the mind can learn or be reminded of what love and forgiveness is to change the heart so that the soul may be lifted and illuminated. This is why the body glows when a person is so much positively ignited.

The Divine God gave us Jesus who knew that the mission to live a higher conscious life and die a martyr for all God's children was the ultimate way to defeat the consequences of sin. He sacrificed himself on a cross so that everyone would be live to righteousness. His death was also our death if believe in him and the promise of God to redeem all of his people.

Well how is this possible and how does it work to save me from sin? It is very simple if you allow yourself to think, meditate, and place the idea in your thoughts that you and your sins that with Jesus on the cross and you were freed to live to righteousness.

What is your righteousness and what bondage were you removed from? This means you are now justified and good. You are now a person in pursuit of a virtuous life where you are conscious to this reality and able to dwell in it at root of who you are in your highest state. Your life is one of duality, where you are here physically but also dead because you live in the spirit. You were freed from the prison of your flesh which is weak to the evils of temptation and misguided thoughts that taint your intention; in which flaws your character and darken your heart.

How can I truly deal with temptation? When temptation arise consider yourself dead. If the temptation doesn't complement the new spiritual journey and path you are on, or if it doesn't serve your higher self, then surely be dead to it. Dead so that your spiritual self counsels with the Spirit of the Divine God for guidance and strength.

What if I still fail or fall? If you fail or fall, then place this all of this back into remembrance that you died with Jesus on the cross and was freed to live to righteousness. Then reset, reboot, and die again to your flesh so you may transform and continue to advance in the spirit.

You are forgiven, you are loved despite your faults, shortcomings, and falls off of your path. It all works out in the end. I believe this for everybody because it all works out in the end.

Advice for Trust Issues

The Toxic of Trust Issues

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
Bible Versions - New International Version
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Do you trust me? Can I trust you? Can I trust them? Can I trust it? Can I trust myself? These are the million dollar questions some, if not a huge majority in our society struggle with. I surely myself have landed in the mouse trap glue and was stuck in my inability to successfully answer these questions regarding trust honestly without long deliberation, fear, or total evasion altogether.  This is the number one killer of relationships of all forms, financial responsibility, application of talent and skills (oh yes including this), and our abilities to move into the next chapters of our lives. We are poised and attracted to these assumptions and comforting lies that cause us to do the exact opposite of moving forward in the power of faith and healthy hope. We would rather pretend than be upfront about our true fears and lack of understanding than to defeat the demons that whisper in our ears telling us to avoid accepting a helping and counseling hand to guide us in uncovering the truths and logic. Our emotions can be both our friend and worst enemy in the matter of walking across the bridges of trust.

Someone started the rumor that trust had to be built and I so often questioned if this applied across the board when we included ourselves and the higher intelligence and energy of this life and universe. I never dare to ask anybody the question, but I use to make the mistake in my prayers and devotional time by having tons of doubts and trust of what I was doing. Whenever I came out of my silent time I was expecting to have more peace and assurance within myself and about my life, but sadly I was only placing a temporary band-aide over my fears and doubts. This is the problem I faced and I never arrived at the full scope of what I was praying for to manifest itself into my life the way I wanted it to. I encountered struggle, suffering, and unusual turmoil as if I had personally invited it into my life. I later discovered that when I noticed the perfection of nature and things working as it should without fear and skeptical energy, I immediately turned on the light-bulb in my head and yelled “I be Damn” out loud. Nothing but the human species on this earth, operates in an abnormal function with a sense of distrust. Every other species can properly mate and reproduce and flourish as it should without the “extra” from emotional and falsely created imagination of the worst possible outcomes. The mother earth continues to turn constantly on its axis and never does it doubt spinning out into orbit lost and potentially crashing into another planet.

We must train our mind and bring our emotions into submission about moving forward off the points in moments where we originally start. Relationships will improve greatly once we learn to allow more of the positive and great results of love to move into the spaces where we make decisions and choices regarding the people we relate to. Ideas and projects will accelerate more quickly into blasting off like never before shall we remove the fear and hesitation we make when holding back on the next steps, theories, and calculations in our head. Our abilities to live in a more harmonious matter without worry and anxiety will greatly improve if we just offer ourselves up to trust the most advanced and intelligent source of nature to properly conduct and distribute the forces that work in our favor always to protect and inspire us.  Careers, more graduates, and successful parenting will finally triumph into the winner’s historical hall of fame because the word we know as “trust”, that we place an outrageous and unattainable value on will lose its fictitious references.  The next big question is how do we begin to do the very thing we was told not to do so by someone or ourselves through personal experience or falsely imagined personal experience? Here is a small blueprint I will offer below:
·        Practice smiling in the mirror for 10 minutes with no one present while studying yourself and noticing how it feels. Smiling is the most common indicator of trust, if you can learn to being accustomed to your own smile and noticing no hidden motives behind your smile, you will naturally begin to look for smiles in others and unfold the tables of trust in your head.
·        Notice the things and people in your life that you love or that you receive love and joy from. Express this outwardly out loud silently to yourself or on a sheet of paper. Practice this act for 14 days. The things or people you love unconditionally and that express it back to you holds the understanding of why you trust without even saying it. Relate this to the rest of the world freely. It is love that will set you free.
·        Spiritual and Invisible Protection. Ask yourself before sleep the following questions. Will I die before I wake? What will happen if I die before I wake? Where will I go if I die before I wake? How do I want to feel if I survive the night and awaken again? These questions are scary and tough. Most of us just willing go to sleep without even thinking twice about the possibility of not surviving through the night. Why is this? We are so routine that we have gained comfort and assurance subconsciously about the peace of being able to sleep without worry. Don’t worry now. But allow this same comfort and trust to carry over into your everyday life when you are expected to be woke and living in the body and identity you are in. Spiritual protection is surrounded around you and it would be who of you to get more conscious of it so you are least worry of the “dangers” this world posed on your small life.

Knowing Your Appointed Time

Knowing Your Appointed Time

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.Habakkuk 2:3 (New International Version)

We can anxiously wonder and pace away the days while anticipating this great time when everything we longed for will come to pass. Unfortunately, as easy as this sounds this is not the type of mindset we want to allow to govern us. In doing this we rob ourselves of the greatest lessons and experiences that are always placed in our path. Our paths are calculated perfectly to fit the shortest or longest of our journey through this current reality. There’s truth in staying mindful of an “end”, but it shouldn’t rule our lives and distract us from positively impacting the lives of others. We want the end of the project, a bad chapter in a relationship or the entire relationship, waiting for birthdays and other countless things. We are so filled and determined to have that gratification of what the end will give us, but not even being aware of the shortness of that moment. For a life to perish from this reality is only in a moments time shorter than one would imagine. A long death is never actually long, even in a vegetable state or coma, it is a more favorable choice to stay at least a physical reminder to those who love and support you rather than an invisible one that can be easily forgotten (Seriously, go watch the animated movie CoCo). Not to convince anyone to change their living will, but this discussion in this current piece must be finely understood so that we may recognize the emotional and mental problem our fast-paced society is suffering from.

We have locked and measured ourselves to fit this whole idea of time while forgetting that we live under the law of infinite possibilities blessed to us by an infinite design and intelligence. Immediately discounted is the idea and/or concept of “God” by many, but I urge those nonbelievers to at least realize that our complexities is not even within our own power to declassify. We change so often in our moods, feelings, and thoughts that it is impossible to count and keep up with them. Therefore, this whole notion of time and it being specific is only as serving as comfort foods give you before the calories and other excessive intake starts to reflect you physically. Time only does the same thing, it can make you and everyone around you feel good especially when you set a date for something and it all works out on that date. I’m foolish enough to say to you timekeepers and wishers to ask the question, “Can we go with the flow instead?” This is what the universe is pleading to you when you worry and blame yourself for things not working out at the time you expected. We go into our mid-20 and early 30’s looking at our friends like why haven’t this or that has happened for me yet. Evan Carmichael would gladly to your face in a silly kind way say it’s all your fault for not being accountable. Damn that’s a bit harsh, isn’t it? I confidently tell you that your appointed time is around the corner but in the meanwhile, you should be doing the following:

  •         Keep the faith in your visions and dreams
  •         Continue to move your body or in other words be a person of action both in the mind and of course your body
  •         Don’t lose hope in anything, especially at your death bed as this is the type of energy you want to leave behind to others and going into your afterlife
  •         Reject that stupid tendency to give up just because there’s no evidence (it’s not in the natural because it’s just as invisible as the thoughts that eventually becomes real)
  •         What is now a cliché; SPEAK LIFE and watch dead things transform into reality (stop killing your desires and wants because of your obsession with time)
  •         Place boundaries of everybody in your life, their influence will destroy the things in this life that make you happy and fulfill you

Enjoy this life to the fullness and do everything the laws of nature dictates to you unknowingly because your appointed time as according to McGrew-Hill Dictionary of Idioms describes it as “your expected or assigned time”, but for sake of argument replace the word time always with the word moment. It will wither away the stress attached with time and things will happen a lot sooner. Let us repeat the wisdom of these verses from Ecclesiastes:

A Time for Everything

1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven - 2 A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. 3 A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up. 4 A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance. 5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing. 6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak. 8 A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace. 9 What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils? 10 I have seen the task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.
